IELTS, or International English Language Testing System, is a prestigious and competitive exam given by people who want to move, study, or work in a nation where English is the primary communication language.
The IELTS comprises reading, listening, writing, and speaking sections wherein students have to surpass the criteria of the university or company they desire to study or work with (in another country).
At times, the people that have attempted the IELTS exam don’t receive the desired grades. At this point, they can apply for revaluation, i.e., reassessment of the test scores.
A fee set by IELTS is charged for reassessment; however, it is refunded if the marks are increased after the process. Unfortunately, the chances of such miracles are slim; if the same results appear, the money is not refunded to the test taker.
How to Check IELTS Revaluation Results:-
Test takers can take comfort in that their paper won’t be evaluated by the person who initially scored it. Instead, someone else would get assigned to the scoring process. Moreover, the test checkers do not know the original test scores.
Besides this, the test checkers must undergo a genuine test paper check process referred to as the Enquiry of Results (EOR). Furthermore, the IELTS General exam evaluators might display leniency towards scores, as they understand that the candidate wants to upgrade their education or needs it only for working abroad.
On the other hand, the IELTS Academic checkers are often surrounded by highly proficient English language speakers and would expect the same from the test takers.
How to Check IELTS Revaluation Results on British Council’s Website:-
Since IELTS is a British Council exam, the results are visible on the institute’s website. Alternatively, they can also be viewed on IDP. The test takers can see their results on the British Council’s website for the next 28 days. The steps involving the viewing results are as follows:
Step 1: Open the British Council’s website
Step 2: Log in to the portal
Step 3: View the results
The process for viewing the original and revised results remains the same. Computer-based test takers often see their results 3-4 days after giving the IELTS paper. Offline test takers should note that their results would take a few more days to update, unlike online IELTS exam takers. Moreover, the British Council’s website results would remain only for 13 days.
How to Check IELTS Revaluation Results on IDP Website:-
The International Development Program of Australian Universities and Colleges (IDP) is a stiff competitor against the British Council for the IELTS. The process to check the result is as follows:
Step 1: Visit the IDP website
Step 2: Log in to the portal
Step 3: View the results
The paper-based IELTS results appear on the website within 13 days, whereas the computer-based IELTS results get uploaded within 3-5 post-exam dates. IDP also offers the facility of delivering results to the test takers’ doorstep. The attempter has to make a request using the same ID used during the registration process.
